Paediatric

The paediatric department provides care for children from birth to 17 years of age, for all illnesses. We recognise that having a child in hospital can be a stressful time for both the child and their family, so we provide specialised paediatric services and all the staff work as a team whilst your child is with us. You will be encouraged to become part of the treatment of your child, caring for your child and contributing to the decisions made about their care and treatment.

The most common causes of pediatric injury are Suffocation (being unable to breathe), poisoning from common sources like household chemicals, cleaners, and medicines, falls, burns, drowning etc.

All surgeries on elective or emergency basis are performed by this specialty. Extramural transfers are welcome and can be picked up by our transport team with prior arrangement. An essential backup service to prevent and treat intensive care problems this faculty evaluates and treats all disabilities including respiratory, neurological, orthopaedic and any other system.

Here are some answers to questions you may have about the procedure and its effects on you.
