ENT (Ear, Nose, Throat)

ENT is a branch within medicine that deals with conditions of the ear, nose, and throat (ENT) and related structures of the head and neck. In the human body, these systems are interconnected. It is their interconnection that helps them perform various functions.

Certain conditions and diseases of the ear, nose, and throat can cause serious health problems. In some cases, especially if they are not detected and treated early, diseases such as cancer and infection involving the ear, nose, and throat can cause death. Most conditions of the ear, nose, and throat, however, can be effectively treated or managed.

Patients who suffer from ENT disorders should not wait until the problem becomes bad. Very often we tend to brush off these issues, until they reach a stage where there is considerable discomfort to the individual. ENT disorders are usually resolved quite easily when the condition is at an early stage. This is especially true of those conditions that involve the development of a blockage.
